An Evening With Lulu, Assembly Hall Theatre, Tunbridge Wells, Mon 18 Apr

lulu-most-hi-res-image-i-could-find

We-eee-eeel…. You know you make me wanna… The Grammy nominated singer is back performing some of her greatest hits from the last 50 years (I know, she looks *amazing*). I can’t believe she’s still touring – surely the poor love deserves a bit of a rest by how. Lots of songs, obvs, as well as some stories about her experiences along the way. All the hits, as well as some songs from her musical heroes – people like Ray Charles and Otis Redding. She was at Glasto last year and totally smashed it, proving she’s still got what it takes to set the stage on fire.

7:30pm. Tickets £35 + booking fee. Assembly Hall Theatre, Crescent Rd, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent TN1 2LU, Tel: 01892 530613, assemblyhalltheatre.co.uk

Richard Herring: Happy Now? Quarterhouse, Folkestone, Sat 16 Apr

richard-herring4

In his twelfth solo stand up show Richard Herring scrutinises his experiences of becoming a Dad and how his new bundle of joy has affected his comedic edge. There’s still plenty of his usual observational gags in here but also a bit of a philosophical poke at the pursuit of happiness. There are only a few tickets left so move fast if you want to bag one.

Performance starts at 8:00pm. Tickets £15. Tel: 01303 760750, Quarterhouse, Mill Bay, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 1BN, quarterhouse.co.uk

Here’s a brilliant idea to help you squeeze socialising and exercise into your busy morning. Get fit, meet some friendly faces and walk your dog while exploring the beautiful scenery of Riverhill (with no admission fees). The walk starts at the Riverhill car park and it’s brisk pace means you finish at the café for refreshments within an hour. Pasha Kovalev – It’s All About You, Tue 19 Apr

JS59419252

Just an excuse to feature this picture really… You don’t need to know too much about the exact details of what the evening entails to know there’s bound to be lots of slick moves and tight, tight sparkly costumes. Strictly Come Dancing fans will know Pasha’s the one who must have thought he was destined to be always the bridesmaid, never the bride until he finally won the title third time lucky. And he’s my (every?) mother-in-law’s favourite.

7:30pm, Assembly Hall Theatre, Crescent Rd, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent TN1 2LU, Tel: 01892 530613, assemblyhalltheatre.co.uk
