Get your Mothering Sunday Sorted!

9 Mar 2017

Everywhere gets so darn booked up for Mothering Sunday – as you’ll know, if you’ve ever spent the week before desperately trying to nab a restaurant reservation only to find it’s Burger King or bust. So in the interests of being super-organized, we’ve decided to get in there early this year with our guide to what to do with your mother – or your children – on Sunday 26 March (I can think of a few suggestions that aren’t quite in keeping with the spirit of the day, but let’s leave that there).

Muddy eats: The Barrow House

5 Jan 2017

Yup, it’s pretty chilly at the mo, but if anything can lure me outside it is a scenic stroll and a roaring pub fire. Such a fab festival with so much cool and quirky stuff going on – including outdoor cinema screenings, mud tug of war, street parades, arts & crafts and live music. The Harbour Food Fair will also be at hand hosting a brilliant array of global and local traders to satisfy anyone’s taste buds.

10 Kent Pubs With Brilliant Beer Gardens

5 Jul 2016

Okay so the weather so far has been changeable to say the least. But could it be that (*whisper it*) summer is finally here? So you’ll be wanting to find a watering hole with a huge, wonderful garden to boot your kids into, while you chill out with some awesome food and a triple gin and tonic. Oh come on, it can’t just be me again!

I’ve been to a gazillions of pubs in Kent on *cough* Muddy duty and have drawn together this scratch list, admittedly half cut late in the evening, but hopefully with a degree of knowledge and insight.
