A brilliant piece of advice
My friend and Muddy founder, Hero Brown, recently posted this fun little piece and brilliant reminder of what’s important in life. Well, sharing is caring as they say – so here you go mes amis. Over to you Hero:
There are two things that get me by on Muddy – coffee and Spotify, both on drip feed all day. Up popped Baz Luhrmann’s Everybody’s Free To Wear Sunscreen on Spotify a few minutes ago it was just so fab everyone in the office stopped and listened, nodded sagely and decided to change their lives, so this is it. Sorry everyone, I’m quitting blogging to follow my dream and become a fire eater in Phuket.
Oh alright, maybe not this year, but in the meantime I’m going to put Baz’s masterpiece on the blog today because it made me feel good and I’m hoping it will do the same for you.
Everybody’s Free To Wear Sunscreen has been around for ages, of course, and actually the lyrics were not actually written by Lurhmann, but by Mary Schmich, a columnist with the Chicago Tribune back in 1997.
It’s brilliant advice whether you’re lacking confidence in your twenties (or know someone who is) or are struggling through your thirties, forties, or fifties. I’m expecting that by sixty none of us will give a hoot and will be totally chilled out but until then have a listen and feel inspired.
