10 fun things to do this weekend
A Tale of Christmas at Leeds Castle, Maidstone, Sat 3 Dec to Mon 2 Jan
Relive the classic tales of Beatrix Potter at Leeds Castle’s event, ‘A Tale of Christmas’ on the 150th anniversary of her birth. From Peter Rabbit to Tabitha Twitchit, the exquisitely created installations throughout the castle are all Beatrix Potter themed and too cute to miss. See Mr McGregor’s Shed, charmingly recreated, complete with everything you would expect to find in a Victorian potting shed. See up close the writer’s sketch books, paint brushes, diaries, fossils and feathers that were used to craft her stories. Young visitors can also write their Christmas wishes on themed postcards and post them so they are delivered to her study in the evening.
Event is included with price of admission and tickets grant repeat admission for a whole year! (Adults £24.50, Child £16.50), Maidstone, Kent ME17 1PL, Tel: 01622 765400, leeds-castle.com
