Fancy a Spring fling with Tom Hiddleston in Mallorca?!

It was bound to happen. We could never keep Tom or his filming locations to ourselves I suppose. Humph. At a cost of £3 million per episode BBC1’s espionage thriller The Night Manager (final episode on Easter Sunday!) certainly flits around some stunning locations: Mallorca, Marrakech, Madrid, Monaco, Zermatt, and uh, Devon… oh don’t you start, I know it’s very pretty!

Harbour

Prestige Holidays is one of the first travel companies to pick up on the stunning places featured on the island of Mallorca where a lot of the pivotal scenes were filmed, and realise we’d all want a piece of the action.

Thanks to them we can now visit several of the places Tom’s gorgeous feet have paddled in the sea, or where his perfectly formed bottom has perched on a barstool. Mmmm. How long before that bottom has its own Twitter account? (And yes, Mr P will be very glad when this series is over and he can have his wife back. I’ll admit I’ve been a tad distracted these past few weeks).

Filming

Prestige point out, of course it’s not really all murder and mayhem on this stunning island and there’s a break that’s ideal for those keen to visit.

A four-night stay at the adults only Romantic Hotel (below) departing Thurs 24 April starts from just £326 per person including: return flights from London Gatwick to Palma, accommodation on a BB basis and private transfers. This small hotel is across the road from a beautiful sandy beach and has its own restaurant and bar. It’s also just a 15 minute walk from the centre of Port de Pollenca in northern Mallorca – the town overlooked by Sa Fortaleza, the castle used as Roper’s base on the island.

Sa Fortaleza is a 17th century fort with two pools, seven villas in the grounds and over 25,000 square feet of immaculately manicured terraces and gardens, and is Spain’s most expensive property, owned by a British banker (now, now, let’s play nicely. He might invite us over for a Gin Sling).

Visitors to Mallorca can also enjoy fresh fish in the pretty-as-a-picture Ca’s Patro March restaurant where Roper and his entourage ate in episode 2. The restaurant is perched above Cala Deià, a small rocky cove on the north-west coast. It doesn’t have a website but you can ring to book a table: (+34) 971 93 91 37.

So I’ll see you on the island, yeah? I’ll be the one in top-to-toe camouflage gear with the long lens camera. Stalker? How very dare you. This is research!
