Pub in the Park

WIN 2 tickets to see the rock 'n' roll stars of the food and music world at this not-to-be-missed weekend festival taking place in Tunbridge Wells this summer

Get ready for this! The massively popular sell-out Pub In The Park event is coming to Tunbridge Wells for the first time this summer. In case you haven’t heard of it, Pub in the Park is Michelin-starred chef and TV personality Tom Kerridge’s food and music festival, and this year is set to go on tour to four towns, after its first event in Marlow sold all its 18,000 tickets within 24 hours earlier this year!

On Fri 6 – Sun 8 July Tunbridge Wells will play host to this huge gourmet food and music festival when the popular event makes a stop in Dunorlan Park. Pub in the Park celebrates the very best culinary delights the country has to offer, combined with great live music, chef demonstrations, top quality shopping and other festival fun. On top of nationally-famous chef and music acts, each event will celebrate the local community in the form of brilliant local artisans, pubs, local foodie heroes and musicians.

MUSIC

The Kent leg of the festival boasts an amazing line-up of the UK’s best music talent – including Melanie C, Razorlight, Toploader, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Scouting for Girls, Billy Ocean, Tom Odell and my own personal fave Gabrielle Aplin!

Muddy highlights: Still tickets left on FRIDAY to see super-talented rising star Tom Odell (ask your kids) and Sophie Ellis-Bextor (Murder on the Dance Flo-or) and on SUNDAY don’t miss Scouting for Girls (She’s So Loverrrrrly); legendary pop veteran Billy Ocean and for some essential jumping-up-and-down indie rock, The Rifles.

FOOD

And alongside the superstars of the music world are the rock ‘n’ roll chefs Josh Eggleton, Angela Hartnett, Paul Ainsworth supermodel-turned-landlady Jodie Kidd and Tom himself cooking up a storm. Tom and his fellow chef mates will also be bringing a selection of top pubs and restaurants to serve up some of the best pub grub the UK has to offer for just £5 a dish, so everyone can try a few.

There’ll be loads of Kent’s best pubs present from Tunbridge Wells’ own The Kentish Hare to The Sportsman near Whistable – which was recently named the UK’s No.1 pub in the whole country (in the prestigious Top 50 Gastropubs Awards) yet again.

Muddy highlights: The Tanner Brothers (from the Kentish Hare, Bidborough); Mark Sargeant (from the Wife of Bath, Wye); Rob Taylor (from The Compasses Inn, Crundale) and Stephen Harris (from The Sportsman, Seasalter)
