Christmas Lights Switch On Party, The Pantiles, Tunbridge Wells, Sat 19 Nov
The Pantiles is kicking off the holiday season by throwing a cracker of a party celebrating its big Christmas lights switch on. The merriments will begin with an open air kids disco from 5:30pm-6:30pm followed by an appearance from Father Christmas himself who’ll be switching on the lights. Music will continue on the bandstand from DJ Karl Quinn, followed by Christmas Funk Band at 8pm-10pm. Festive grub including roasted chestnuts and a seasonal bar will also be provided throughout the evening.

Ice Skating Opening, Calverly Park, Tunbridge Wells, Fri 18 Nov
It’s certainly starting to look a lot like Christmas in Tunbridge Wells as Calverley Park is transformed into an exciting winter wonderland complete with festive refreshment stalls, trader chalets, live entertainment and of course the famous ice rink. This year’s opening gala will be hosted by Heart Radio presenters James Heming and Becky Ives and kicks off with skating displays from local skaters and carols from the Rock Choir. The rink will then open for a special session with classic tunes keeping the party in full swing into the evening. Book you skating session online to avoid disappointment on the day.

Glyndebourne operatic group are touring the UK with a new and exciting production of Don Giovanni. Mozart’s beautifully composed music is the perfect soundtrack to the dark comedy that tells the story womaniser ‘Don Juan’s’ unusual day that leads to foiled sexual conquests and finally culminates in his murder. The production promises to take the audience on an emotional rollercoaster swinging from comedy to tragedy. This sounds like the perfect evening production for any opera lovers.
