Over 120 wines, champagnes and spirits will be on offer to taste at The Secret Cellar’s popular annual event. Whether you think of yourself as an expert wine taster (everyone that’s ever sat next to me at a dinner party) or just an expert wine drinker (me), this event is great fun for novices and connoisseurs alike. Messy Art and Craft, Godinton House, Ashford, Sat 25 Jun
This is a lovely workshop for the Mini Muddies to get very messy and create visually exciting paintings using a variety of mixed media materials. Art tutor Kaidy Lewis will be on hand to guide parents and their children to find your creative side and have fun while getting messy. Places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.

Summer really is the season for craft fairs and if you’re a devoted craft lover visit Quex Park for its latest weekend offering that is raising funds for Kent Air Ambulance. A huge array of unique crafts and gifts will be on sale while local Kentish food and drink will also be provided. Entertainment from the Cadet Band will be in full force throughout the day, as will a beer tent, BBQ and outdoor children’s ay area.

Celebrating the Year of the English Garden, Hever will be holding it’s annual event that showcases the award winning gardens of the castle grounds at the height of their summertime beauty. A free tour led by one of the Hever’s gardening team members will take place daily at 11am. Gardening talks will also take place daily at 1:30pm and 3pm covering interesting topics including medicinal plants, poisons and potions. You can also book now to take part in the floristry workshop that will take place at 2pm daily.

Returning after their sell-out 2015 tour the Grumpies are back to shed some cynical light on situations and knock some sense into the nation. The Grumpy Old Women who will be taking to the stage will be Jenny Éclair, Susan Blake and Kate Robbins. The ladies will be discussing oh so important topics including the joy of large pants, beards for women and offering a free nagging master class. Come and enjoy some big laughs of the stage rendition of the hit television show.
