Emma Freeman Portraits

Based in the Weald of Kent, Emma is a portrait photographer, who has been taking portraits since 2000, working with clients in the UK, Switzerland and France.

Her photography is inspired by reality and characterized by simplicity, with a very natural approach. Driven by her passion and imagination, she puts her heart and soul in everything she does, representing what she loves the most and leaving an evident mark of herself.

Alongside her portrait work, her current projects include themes of community and tell a story.

Artists at Work:

Having been inspired by the work of Ida Kar, a Russian photographer known for her portraits of artists and writers in the 1950’s, I have been focusing on these subjects. Coming from a family of artists, I feel very comfortable with them and inspired when I watch them “lost in their work” – http://emmafreemanportraits.co.uk/artists-at-work/

Women of Influence:

I shall be focusing on profiling leading women in the UK and Europe who will influence the decisions and paths of my children’s generation.   This may take me sometime and I hope to cross many layers of society. I hope to work primarily with women in the worlds of the arts and politics –

I feel it is important that the photographs are a reminder of that unique time and place in the lives of my sitters, be they children, business profiles or clients from the creative world.

She is an accredited member of BIPP & the Federation of European Photographers.
