Muddy says: With its laid back vibe, top food, great cocktails and a cool working space – Fego in Sevenoaks has something for everyone.
This new eatery and bar is the lastest addition to the Fego family and the largest Fego yet. As with each destination Fego Sevenoaks has worked hard to maintain its individual identity and community feel, rather than coming close to anything like a chain. The interiors are all South African inspired, from the hand-painted wall tiles to the striking ceramics.
Bright, airy and spread across three floors, the owners have created a really flexible space. So you could just as easily bring your buggy as your laptop – there’s various pockets of space for families or working hubs. The ‘Fego Young Diners’ Children’s Menu’ is brilliant (including pasta, toasties, burgers, fish fingers and hot dogs). Upstairs there’s a co-working space where you can become a member and enjoy central-Sevenoaks work meeting or just sit with your screen and sip coffee.
Coffee is top quality and the food is excellent. There’s a focus on Clean Eating and there’s heaps of wholesome healthy options, (like the Superfood Salad), which are also delicious and portions are very generous (no one’s going to go hungry.) But there’s also cakes, coffee, pizza you name it – all also available and you’re very welcome to make specific requests about the food (gluten free? no problem, change the coffee recipe? no problem).
In the evening the upstairs space becomes a funky bar serving all the usuals and some signature cocktails of their own. – Porn Star Martini or Fego Royal? Don’t mind if I do – I’ll take both, thank you. You can book the upstairs for your own private celebration too, which would make a great party destination being so central.
No one hassles you if you spend two hours over a coffee. You can have eggs for dinner, or a steak for breakfast. You can order what you want, when you like it. Anything goes.
