The Tickled Trout

The Tickled Trout, West Farleigh is a modern and stylish pub with 6 boutique hotel rooms and a fabulous fish restaurant with an Italian twist. It also features an impressive fresh ‘Oysters on Ice’ bar where our guests can eat or drink in a relaxed yet sophisticated environment.

Originally built in 1541, this Grade II listed building became an ale house in the mid 1700’s. In late 2015 the pub underwent an impressive refurbishment and is now owned by the Hush Heath Hospitality group who own a small group of unique and intimate pubs and boutique hotels. They also own Hush Heath Estate, a state of the art winery, in nearby Staplehurst. Hush Heath Estate is also open to visit, free of charge, 7 days a week.

We are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner and, like all our other venues, pride ourselves on serving delicious wines, ciders and craft ales including those produced by our own winery.

Our beautiful boutique hotel rooms, with their own private entrance, are designed with comfort and luxury in mind and later in the year we will be opening our sun filled deck and terrace and ‘al fresco’ dining area which overlooks the large, landscaped garden, complete with children’s play area. An outside bar will complement this area and promises to be a fantastic ‘go-to’ destination and meeting place to gather friends and family together.
