Summer racing!

Lingfield Park Racecourse has a full-on summer of events that goes way beyond just horseracing, including fun family days out and cool music from chart-topping artists. Race you to the starting line...

The Summer Saturdays series has already kicked off at Lingfield Park with a tributes to Elvis Presley and Queen – but there’s plenty more to come including music from Jess Glynne and, er, fashion guru Gok Wan. So to help you plan your summer of fun – here’s a rundown of what’s on when.

 

Madness, Sat 22 June (SOLD OUT)

The iconic British band brings more than 40 years of music – which includes 15 top 10 UK singles including It Must be Love and House of Fun. Last we heard, tickets for this day were selling like crazy and it’s expected to sell out – so you might have to be lucky to get tickets to this one.

Circus Extravaganza featuring the Take That Experience, Sat 29 June

Roll up! Roll up! The circus is coming to Lingfield with Circus Extravaganza. The Box the Rox will be there all day with their unique karaoke machine and taking to the outdoor stage after racing is The Take That Experience – so get ready to ‘Shine’ on what promises to be ‘The Greatest Day’. (Sorrrry!!) Gates open at 3.45pm and the first race is at 5.45pm.

Ladies’ Evening with a DJ set from Gok Wan, Sat 27 July

This one’s all about the ladies’ – but don’t be shy guys, it’s also a great day for you to be at the races! The ever-popular Best Dressed competition takes place with fashion expert Gok Wan making the winner’s presentation. And there are some great prizes up for grabs – including a seven-day holiday, tix to see Jess Glynne and a spa day – so it’s worth pulling your finest fascinator from the top of the wardrobe for this one. And just when the excitement of the competition dies down, Gok will take to the decks for a DJ set. Gates open at 3.30pm, and racing starts at 5.30.

Gentlemans’ Day featuring the Cheaky Blinders, Sat 3 Aug

Get your flat caps on guys, because we’re celebrating the roaring Twenties with the Cheaky Blinders and their own blend of gangsta rock after racing ends. There’s a Best Dressed competition for the gents too – so wear your dapper duds. Gates open at 2.55pm, first race at 4.55pm.

Jess Glynne live after racing, Sat 10 Aug

With two UK number 1 albums including the 2018 hit Always In Between, Jess Glynne will perform to thousands of race goers live after racing at Lingfield Park Racecourse on Saturday 10 August. This lady is hot hot hot right now – so tickets will sell fast though. I’d get in quickly! Racing is from 5.10pm-8.15pm – music starts after the last race.
