Exclusive: build a clutch workshop
Make this season's hottest accessory (firefighters are involved) AND do your bit for charity
Elvis & Kresse, is the incredibly cool brand that makes luxury bags and goodies from reclaimed materials (you read about them here before, remember?). They are hugely current, have a big cult following being an eco-friendly, sustainable business – that makes gorgeous, quirky accessories – is it any wonder everyone wants to get their hands on one? Here’s Cameron Diaz wearing one of their belts as photographed by Mario Testino for a US Vogue shoot.
They are offering you Muddy readers an EXCLUSIVE opportunity to design your own customised Fire & Hide Clutch Bag during a fun, relaxed workshop evening on Thurs 12 October. You will handmake your own unique bag and enjoy drinks and nibbles with these top waste warriors (and one of the coolest couples in Kent). Treat yourself or make yours as a gift for your mum, sister or BFF for Christmas (your design will be finished and sent out within 4-6 weeks – so in plenty of time for Chrimbo).
The Fire & Hide clutch combines rescued leather from the fashion industry and decommissioned fire hose – and it’s even lined with reclaimed parachute silk. And with every bag made Elvis & Kresse donate to the Fire Fighters Charity and renewable energy projects (both very relevant causes – think of how those brave firemen came to the rescue the Grenfell Tower tragedy).
This is your opportunity to support the business that’s doing well by doing good. There are only 20 sought-after spaces available so bag *snigger* yours quick so you don’t miss out!
How the workshop will work
To secure one of the exclusive 20 spaces you pay £150.00 – this includes all the cost of materials and making the Fire & Hide Clutch Bag. And also includes drinks and nibbles, an evening with the founders, Elvis & Kresse, the donation to charity and at the end of it all you’ll have a hand-finished, totally unique statement fashion piece.
During the event you’ll get to choose from a wide selection of leather colours and types, (the leather being used has been salvaged from a top Brit fashion house). You will assemble both the front and back panels for their clutch bag, choose whether they would like red or yellow decommissioned British fire hose trim – both the colour and the pattern will be entirely up to you.
The evening will be hosted in Elvis & Kresse’s workshop, in Tonge, near Sittingbourne (this stunning mill, pictured above). To sign up for the Fire & Hide Clutch Bag workshop, or to find out more details, email: [email protected]
