Becky’s Wardrobe

time is precious so to get dressed every day shouldn't be a chore it should be a pleasure, says Becky (aka 'Your own private style confidante'). Hallelujah is what we say to that. Time for a wardrobe edit?

Need an excuse to have a style overhaul? Studies have proven the huge psychological power of clothing and how the right choices can influence a person’s wellbeing. We’re not saying anything as simplified as looking good makes you happy – but equally there’s lots of evidence that the effects of waking up every day to a full wardrobe and yet nothing to wear – or feeling under-confident after having children, a broken relationship or returning to the workplace should not be underestimated.

In that same vein, twenty years in the fashion industry has taught Becky that clothes can have a huge impact on how you feel. With excellent credentials (starting out in Top Shop before becoming Head of Buying at Asos) she knows a thing or two about style and creating an edited wardrobe – which basically means clever clothes buying – actually thinking about what goes together with what.

Passionate about helping people, Becky launched based on this simple premise – time is precious so to get dressed every day shouldn’t be a chore it should be a pleasure. Hallelujah is what we say to that. And ‘when can you come round and edit my wardrobe?’ *kicks unworn shoes and too-small-skinny-jeans-that-I-just-can’t-throw-away under the bed*…

Becky can help you to edit and manage your wardrobe and find pieces you had forgotten about. Before she comes round she will ask you to pull out your clothes and put them into product types, dresses, tops, trousers – you get the idea. When you are putting each item of clothing into its section think about, when you last wore it, how often you wear it, how does it make you feel when you wear it and does it fit with your current lifestyle.

We will go through each piece individually, discuss what it means to you and consider what you are going to keep. And then the best bit – Becky will suggest anything she thinks is missing from your wardrobe. The edit is relaxed and will take place in your home and includes a follow up report. You will save time and ultimately money. Maybe even the planet (because you’ll only need a much smaller, yet infinitely more wearable wardrobe you love, after this session). As we said, hallelujah!
