We are delighted to have discovered the EM Forster Theatre in Tonbridge. It is an amazing local resource attracting local talent, professional touring productions and public speakers, and is for hire by the local community. We love the variety and quality of productions on offer here and it is a great opportunity to support local (with tickets at a fraction of the price you’d pay in the West End!).

Built in 2000, the EM Forster Theatre boasts a fully equipped 380 seat proscenium arch theatre and is equipped with professional dressing rooms. More intimate, informal productions and comedy nights are hosted in the 90 seater EMF Studio. 

We love the convenience of the Theatre, right in the heart of Tonbridge at Tonbridge School. It is only a 15 minute walk from Tonbridge station or there is free parking at the Tonbridge Centre (a 10 minute walk away). If you fancy a pre or post dinner bite to eat, the Theatre is situated just a short stroll from the restaurant’s, bars and cafe’s on Tonbridge High Street. There is also the Theatre bar and foyer for a cheeky drink before the show (the bar opens 45 minutes before each production).

Whether you fancy a comedy night, an orchestral, jazz or dance performance, an NTL screening or a family friendly show, there is so much on offer here.
