Muddy says: I don’t go to Canterbury or Folkestone without popping into one of the Lilford Galleries. There’s always cool, modern, playful art on display and I’ll inevitably convince myself that I just *need* to have it. I’m seriously going to save up for a purchase sometime soon…
Established in 2000 and now one of the leading galleries in the South East Lilford Gallery exhibit work by established artists as well as finding new and exciting talent. They exhibit an eclectic range of works by both emerging artists from the Kent Area and internationally known artists. With new works arriving on a daily basis the gallery is always changing.
There are three Lilford Galleries in Kent – two in Canterbury (3 Palace Street) and (76 Castle Street) and one in Folkestone (8 The Old High Street).
Also situated below Lilford Gallery Folkestone, Lilford Studio is the perfect space to hold an art exhibition (for any budding artists out there, just sayin’…) And once you’ve painted your piece or purchased your art they also offer a complete bespoke framing service.
Because the gallery in Castle Street not only has three floors of gallery space, but there’s also a well-established framing studio too. Oh, and a really good Silversmith on site, hand-forging silver jewellery.
