After owner, Clare and her family, travelled extensively in the USA the idea behind SMOQE was born. The result is their restaurant in Rochester that incorporates that unmistakable smoked BBQ flavour into all their dishes and forms the foundation of their SMOQE’d Rub and House sauces.
The handmade, artisan burgers include choices like The Grim Reaper – with 4 oz beef patty, Tennessee bun, House or Hot-House sauce, gem lettuce, tomato, Applewood smoked cheese and Smoqe’n streaky bacon. Or there’s the vegan options of Smoqe’d Jackfruit or Onion Bhaji.
All their recipes come with a memory attached and are thoroughly researched and tested by the whole family before they make it onto the SMOQE menu.
