The Climbing Experience

Muddy says: A fab new climbing experience in the heart of Kent with activities for all age-groups that will put you through your paces – fab for kids parties or a date night with a difference

In need of a novel and active experience for your kids or indeed you? Then say a big hello to The Climbing Experience which has just been launched in Maidstone by two passionate Kent-based climbers whose dream was to open an indoor climbing experience in the heart of Kent.

And hurrah for us that they have set up shop in Kent as did you know that climbing isn’t just great for your physical fitness, it’s also a fantastic mental workout. Just as it challenges your body to become stronger and more flexible, it also stimulates your brain and focuses your mind and spirit, making it the ideal sport for people wanting to de-stress and increase mindfulness.

Whether it’s the amazing Fun Wall adventure area which is a great starting point for everyone and has 15 different climbing challenges to choose from, including a speed wall and a face-to-face, so lots of different ways to put your body (and mind) to the test. Or for the more hardy amongst you, you can try your luck at its state-of-the-art bouldering facility, which includes a 30m competition wall, which offers you space to test yourself and develop your climbing skills.

The bouldering facility also features a cave, an arch and two standalone boulders, one a top-out (if you are in the know, you will know what I mean) and with new routes set every week, there will always be something to test you, whether you are new to bouldering or an experienced climber.

Do not fret if climbing is not your thing as there is also a dedicated yoga and fitness studio and café cleverly called The Social Climber (plus meeting room services as well as free WIFI if you need to mix business with pleasure) so every option is well catered for here. Plus they do kids’ parties (from 4 upwards) so even if it’s coming down in bucket loads outside, the bad weather won’t rain on this parade.
