The Garden Room at Port Lympne

Port Lympne Wild Animal Reserve and Hotel has recently launched a new restaurant for overnight guests and has fast become a dining destination in its own right. Book a table for Sunday bunch or afternoon tea and enjoy complimentary access to the Reserve!

Weekend Escapes

Introducing east Kent’s delish new dining destination with a difference… The Garden Room at Port Lympne. Situated within the Grade II-listed mansion’s historic stable yard, this stunning new restaurant, was designed by Creative Director Victoria Aspinall (wife of Damian Aspinall).

Retaining the best of the building’s original features but with a vaulted glass ceiling, mirrored garden walls and brass lanterns the overall effect is a tranquil Mediterranean garden feel.

It’s the first of the Reserve’s restaurants that is open to diners who are not visiting the popular wild animal park or staying in its award-winning accommodation.

Seasonal vegetables are picked fresh from their market garden near Howletts, while Kent artisans deliver delicious dairy, meats and fish. Being in the heart of English wine country, local wines and Kentish brews wonderfully compliment the tasty dishes.

The seasonal menu, crafted by new Executive Chef Lee Edney, presents laid-back, unpretentious British plates packed full of flavour and quality ingredients. Garden bites, small and larger plates are accompanied by a carefully curated wine list, whilst a children’s menu is on offer for both lunch and dinner. This is ticking all the boxes, right?

Open to overnight guests or desination diners alike, The Garden Room restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is perfect for couples and families to dine or simply enjoy a drink while you soak up the ambience.

Best of all, book a table for Sunday bunch or afternoon tea and you will also have complimentary access to the Reserve and can use the opportunity as a way to work up an appetite or walk off your meal later in the day.
