The Positive Mind
Dionne Reece, an experienced and approachable Psychotherapist and Counsellor, is passionate about helping people lead a happier and more fulfilled life. Could she help you - or someone you love?
In life, we all face difficult or challenging situations from time to time and experience a range of feelings as a result. Feelings might include hopelessness, guilt, resentment, low self-esteem and confidence, anger, grief or fear.
That’s why Dionne Reece founded The Positive Mind Psychotherapy & Counselling Practice – to create a safe space to talk through whatever is bothering you. Dionne herself is a mother to two young children and prior to retraining as a psychotherapist worked at a senior leadership level in a corporate sales career for over 15 years. As a result, she understands very well the pressures of juggling a career with family life and the impact this can have on our mental wellbeing in the workplace.
Dionne is passionate in her message that with the right support from a qualified psychotherapist, you can better understand your feelings, feel less overwhelmed by problems and learn the skills to cope with challenging situations more positively. She specialises in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and also describes herself as having a strong interest in ‘Positive Psychology’ which focuses on positive human functioning. In other words, helping people lead happier and more fulfilled lives.
Working in an integrated, but flexible, way Dionne draws on different psychotherapy techniques to find the right approach for you. Whatever challenges you are facing, she can help you develop a positive mindset and the psychological resources for better physical health and mental wellbeing.
She is also experienced at providing counselling for young people and children. ‘We all want our children to experience a happy, positive childhood; one that equips them with a solid foundation of emotional resilience and self-esteem,’ says Dionne. ‘But why leave it to chance? If you are concerned that your child might only be “OK” rather than “great” early intervention is crucial and prevents far greater problems in their future. Find out how I can support your child to develop the skills and knowledge they need to truly thrive.’
Counselling sessions take place in Dionne’s psychotherapy practice attached to her home in Marden, near Tonbridge. It’s a comfortable, peaceful and private space for clients to relax during their sessions – which are available daytime and evening; weekday and weekend. Sessions can also be held using Skype, other online services – or whatever virtual means you prefer.
