The Small Holding offers wonderful home-grown and reared produce, hence the name. We are not alone in our love of this amazing eatery (which won Best Restaurant in Kent in our Muddy Stilettos Awards in 2019). Food critics from all over the country have been drooling into their plates at The Small Holding, with chef owner Will Devlin recently recognised as Chef to Watch in the Good Food Guide 2020 and credited with “an instinctive feel for food”.
This local gem is run by brothers Will and Matt Devlin from the No Fixed Abode restaurant pop-ups. Will Devlin is one of Kent’s most exciting chefs who you might recognise from Thackerays and The Windmill in Hollingbourne and Matt is a great knowledge on the wine/drink side of the restaurant and will match your food choices with the best wine or craft beer options, dream team!
