Winter Wreath Workshop and Day Retreat with Hannah Bullivant, Sat 11 Dec

Make a Marsh-inspired Winter wreath in this beautiful setting – with home styling and interiors expert, Hannah Bullivant. All against the backdrop of Kent’s stunning Elmley Nature Reserve. The day starts with a talk and guided walk with Elmley host Abbie who will share the history of the reserve and show you the still-abundant wildlife. After your walk, gather in the gorgeous farmhouse to warm up with a cuppa where you will learn how to make a gorgeous, long-lasting Elmley-Inspired Winter wreath for your home in a meditative beginner-friendly class with all materials supplied. Taking inspiration from nature, make your own rustic wreath at Bore Place. Head out as a group to explore the grounds, foraging for beautiful natural winter foliage to use for your beautiful wreath, learn simple techniques to combine natural and found materials into your unique decorations. She’s got events happening all over December in a range of different locations from Goupie Chocolate House, bar Pitcher & Piano in Tunbridge Wells and even Castlemas at Tonbridge Castle. Frasers, Egerton, Weds 1 – Thurs 15 Dec

Create your own hand-made, sustainable decoration at one of Frasers’ Wreath-Making Masterclasses. Be the envy of all your neighbours, using greenery and organic material found on the farm and surrounding countryside, then you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process to create a wonderful traditional Christmas wreath. Each class is 2.5 hours and costs £70 pp including a scrumptious Afternoon Tea or a delicious grazing board with local cheese, cured meats, pate, crackers, bread and chutney for those joining a Thursday evening workshop. Millbrook’s brilliant in-house team and local florists and horticultural experts will be leading workshops this year so you can make something fabulous! Spend a little time relaxing and learn a new skill at one of their Festive Wreath and Christmas Table Arrangement Workshops across their Garden Centres in Crowborough, Staplehurst and Gravesend. The Historic Dockyard, Chatham, Sun 28 Nov, Sun 5 & Sun 12 Dec

Create a completely unique wreath this Christmas! Join The Historic Dockyard‘s Master Ropemakers and spend the afternoon in the festive surrounds of The Mess Deck. The base of your Christmas wreath will be formed from rope made by their experts craftsman on their Victorian ropewalk, using the same techniques used for producing the finest ropes for the Royal Navy Ships including HMS Victory. The workshop will start with tea, coffee and mince pies then you’ll be guided through the techniques for creating your traditional door wreath.
