Can YOU guess the price…?

Help! I’m in a love triangle and I just can’t choose between the two. Am I a city girl at heart or a country girl? The cottage in the middle-of-nowhere where I’m currently living has shown me the beauty of space and peace. But I do hanker after, okay not the city, but at least some semblance of civilisation – a bijou boutique or two at the very least. Even just a coffee shop.

So I’m always particularly keen to nosey around properties that seem to offer the best of both worlds. Yes, that’s right, I’m talking about you Glenkindie House – perched prettily in Ightham on the outskirts of Sevenoaks yet with sweeping country-views all around you. If you don’t know it, Ightham is a pretty little village with lots of historic buildings, including Ightham Mote, of course.

What’s interesting about this foxy little number is that she’s deceptively spacious. Pretty enough from the outside, (Edwardian, since you asked) but not what you’d call imposing – yet this property has a total of 4 bedrooms, 3 reception rooms (sitting room, family room and dining room), one study, a utility room, conservatory (with underfloor heating) and a spectacular kitchen/breakfast room all tucked away inside – and all beautifully presented. Here feast your eyes…

Upstairs the elegant master bedroom and guest double bedroom boast attractive fire-places and lots of all-important cupboard space. Slip your shoes off and follow me…

With Sevenoaks and its rail links into London (just over 30 mins), excellent schools and fab shops only minutes away this is a sought after location. This is one of those prime real estate areas where asking for lush interiors and more than a mere postage-stamp-sized garden is really pushing your luck. But outside here you’ve got a decent sized garden and stretching views, see below.

Well then, that’s enough clues me thinks. Not much else left to say really – except, perhaps: when can I move in? And how much to you think it’s worth? So, get a figure in mind (no cheating), focus (bend a few spoons) and see if you’ve guessed the price. Bon chance!

Lovely, lovely house! I would say £995,000. If it were in Sevenoaks, much higher!
