Who doesn’t love a sneaky peek around someone else’s house? Property Flirt is back, people, and boy have I got a corker for you. To remind anyone who doesn’t know my nosey little game, I show you the gaff, tell you the best bits about it, and then you guess the price and the closest to the asking price wins £10,000. Sort of. Nearly. OK, I’m lying about this bit.

So let’s start with a ‘WOWSERS’ at this Grade II listed cottage set within the prettiest of gardens on the magical sounding Half Moon Lane in the brilliantly located village of Tudeley, mid west Kent. If you don’t know it Tudeley it’s a little rural spot just moments from the A21 – meaning you get to enjoy all the benefits of countryside living with the convenience of being only 5 mins from Tonbridge, and around 15 mins from Tunbridge Wells in one direction and Sevenoaks in the other. I know, haaaandy, right?

Quite a beauty, isn’t she? So let’s step through the welcoming white gate and have a good old shifty around. Introducing Nightingale Cottage…

Here, let’s ooh and aah at the vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, under floor heating and ample storage space. The sitting room (or drawing room if you must) has a stunning open fireplace.

Yup, that kitchen will do me very nicely, thank you. Double Aga, hello! The kitchen/dining/living area is gorgeously spacious, (see below). Once you’ve had a good nosey round and poked your head in all the cupboards come outside and take in the view. The garden is a combination of flagstone patios, picket fences, a pergola, brick paths and a stunning summerhouse.  Better still you’re surrounded by countryside, woodland and a RSPB Reserve.

Sitting here on my sunlounger, it’s hard to image that the train commute into Charing Cross is only 45 minutes (from Tonbridge station). You’ve also got the most incredible selection of schools right on your doorstep – including the grammars in Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells as well as outstanding state and independent options.
