Property Flirt: Can you guess the price?!
It’s the second in our fab new monthly section, Property Flirt – the perfect excuse to ogle other people’s amazing houses, peer through the keyhole and see if you can guess how much this piece of prime property is worth.
Take a look at the pics below, and my little snippets about the property along the way, then click on the link at the end to reveal the price and see how close you got. Do you win anything? Er, no. But you get to keep all the glory if you guess correctly.
Farnborough Lodge, this stunning refurbished period property, is set within the exclusive and privately gated, Farnborough Park – close to Locksbottom village, near Bromley, which may ring a bell with any foodie folk as the home of award winning Chapter One restaurant.
It’s a Grade ll listed property dating from the 15th Century and it’s actually believed that Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn rested here on their journey to Hever Castle. (Yes, ‘rested’ – please get your mind out the gutter! The point is this is a pure slice of historic pie people!)
So it’s a real mixy matchy of old building (bucket loads of character and charm in the original period features) with a superslick modern interior refurb (that screams luxury living). Definitely gets the Muddy thumbs up! It boasts 3 reception rooms, 2 studies and a cinema room (but of course) 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
I can just picture myself, stretched out on the L-shaped sofa taking in a movie… Hey, dreaming costs zero, right? What’s that? You want to see upstairs? Okay no problem, just remember to take your shoes off…
Seriously, what’s not to like? When you’ve finished squishing your toes into that perfectly fluffy carpet, let’s step outside into the wrap around garden. I’m calling first dibbs on the rattan daybed, you go fix a couple of G & Ts.
Right, you’ve had a good look around, so have a figure in your head for this piece of masonry gorgeousness? Remember it’s got all the mod cons but with bags of historic charm and it’s a little oasis of loveliness just outside London… Come on then, smarty pants, find out if you came close!
