Wouldn’t You Though?

I’m sorry people, I’ve tried, but I can’t hold off writing about it any more – Christmas is coming and if you want a wreath as lovely as this you need to goddam plan for it! So here, I’ve chosen 3 of my fave florists to display their splendid door decorations…

Astilbe & Sorrel, Hawkhurst

These beauties, above are by Hawkhurst-based florist Astilbe & Sorrel who specialises in creating natural, full, luxury style bouquets in a carefully picked palette of colour, texture and scent.

Flower & Glory, Sevenoaks

Last year all the wreaths seemed to be all about the bling, with glitter and ribbons and sequins adorning many of the wreaths (don’t get be wrong – I do like a bit of razzmatazz), but for this Christmas there seems to be more of a rustic, traditional feel with vintage flowers, hessian ribbon and natural pine cones and I, for one, just can’t get enough of it! Like these gorgeous garlands, above, from fabulous, top quality florist, Flower & Glory in Sevenoaks. Beautiful aren’t they?

Vintage Rose Studio

And then I came across Olivia of Vintage Rose Studio, a Frittenden-based florist producing stunning wreaths – and you can come along and snap one up for yourself at her stall at Leeds Castle’s magical Christmas Market this weekend (Leeds Christmas Market takes place Sat 3/Sun 4, Sat 10/Sun11, Sat 17/Sun18, Sat22/Sun 23 Dec). Vintage Rose Studio will also be selling Pinecone Garlands, Potted Mini-Pointsettia’s, Scented Baked Pinecones and Bach Flower Remedies – presumably for when the build up to the Big Day becomes all too much!).

So if you can make it to Leeds Castle to look at the wreaths in person –  I’ll see you there. Otherwise click on these florists links in the comfort of your dressing gown and slippers (admit it, you’re still in them). If you want to order one you’ll need to get a move on to make the cut off point and bag one of these stylish beauties. Just saying people, just saying.

Delighted to see your reference to my daughter Olivia’s Vintage Rose Studio contribution to Leeds Castle show. Difficult to keep track of her academic, professional and sporting progressions. Last include hair-raising motorcycles and the underwater company of Great White Sharks in South African waters.

Ooo, I didn’t know about the motorcycles and Great White Sharks – Olivia you are a dark horse! What an interesting life you lead… Was lovely to meet Olivia at the Leeds Castle Christmas Market on Sunday – there was a really magical atmosphere and her Christmas Wreaths were flying off the shelves (I said it was magical…) 😉 xA
