Sue Davies Flowers Pop Up, Sutton Valence, Friday & Saturdays
Don’t miss this seasonal pop-shop now open on Fridays and Saturdays, 10am – 4pm! Super-talented Sue is the flower power behind this florist and really knows her ‘stuff’ having worked in the industry for years. You’ll see, Sue’s rustic and organic style really shines through the gorgeous artificial blooms; curated selection of pots, jugs and containers as well as a beautiful array of dried flowers (when available). Based in Sutton Valence which is a wonderful village to visit, brimming with history, higgledy-piggledy streets and lots of walks around – you can really make a day of your visit! Friday Night Comedy Club, Trinity Theatre, Until 4 Sept
It’s back! Friday nights are comedy nights at Trinity Gardens. Trinity Theatre’s beautiful gardens in Tunbridge Wells is the ideal location, for a full season of comedy nights throughout the summer. Next one’s on the 7 Aug, experience Andrew Ryan, Kerry Godliman and the final act which is TBC. Who will it be? It’s the ultimate date night! This Friday’s menu is beef and mushroom in black bean sauce OR sweet and sour vegetables served with stir-fried egg noodles with beansprouts. Tickets are limited so get in quick.
Fitness Classes with Sarah Best, Findurfit, Until 10 Aug
On a StayCay this summer? Let’s face it – most of us are hanging around more than usual this year – so why not get in your best shape ever?
We thought you’d want to know about the super approachable and friendly online fitness class guru and personal trainer, Sarah Best, from Findurfit. Sarah promises to inspire you to make fitness part of your life and find a love of exercise whatever level you are.
And she’s just released Findurfit’s Summer schedule – all running through the start of the holiday period – with a mixture of virtual classes from Bodyblast, Spin, Abs + Arms as well as a new Strength + Conditioning Bootcamp where Sarah can meet you in the flesh!

Got a kid that has stars in their eyes – or who could just benefit from building their confidence by being part of an incredible stage production? Then why not sign them up to The Talentz, the award-winning musical theatre company for 4 to 21 year olds offering exceptional training in the performing arts.
Don’t miss their Summer School running 3-7 Aug and let your kids experience ‘A Week With The West End’. Seniorz (11-21 year olds) will enjoy ‘socially distant’ rehearsals outside, Zoom rehearsals, workshops and home challenges with West End tutors and West End routines every day, 10am-5pm. Day Trips at Elmley Nature Reserve, Mon, Weds & Sun
If you’ve not yet been, Elmley Nature Reserve is an internationally recognised site for the the conservation of rare birds, plants, animals and insects. With 3,200 acres, Elmley provides the perfect place for your little ones to explore and get closer to nature AND it’s now open Mon, Weds and Sun to day visitors, just pre-book your ticket before you go! Don’t want to bring a picnic? Don’t worry, you can even pre-order your lunch from Wasted Kitchen! Tickets are £6 per adult for a Half day visit which includes entry for up to two accompanying children free of charge.
Enjoy a ‘safari experience’ on the two mile entry track through roaming cattle, winding waterways and wildlife. Keep an eye out, and you might spot hares, marsh harrier, egrets, lapwings and redshank. Walk or cycle along the nature trails through the Reserve.

Summer Holiday Clubs, Bore Place, From Mon 10 Aug
Bore Place is many amazing things rolled into one. Set in 500 acres of countryside with an organic dairy farm, explore for the day and take one of the many circular walks that are way marked by colour-coded directional discs and tall oak posts.

The Bitesize Festival 2020, Hever Castle, 16 – 30 Aug

In March, the producers at The Talentz had the awful job of telling over forty of their dedicated 7-18 year old students that the show they had been working on since January had to be postponed due to COVID19. The Talentz have kept the community spirit alive over Lockdown with virtual rehearsals, quizzes and game nights to give a sense of purpose to their young students who’s lives were turned upside down over night. So this August, they will FINALLY be performing the show, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat – Unlocked!! in E M Forster Theatre’s open air Amphitheatre, the perfect space to practice social distancing both for the audience and performers. Ai Weiwei: History of Bombs, Imperial War Museum, London, 1 Aug – 24 May 2021
Part of Refugees, a free season of exhibitions, artistic commissions and immersive events taking place across IWM London and IWM North, this exhibition draws on renowned artist Ai Weiwei’s ongoing investigation into politics and power.

Steve McQueen Exhibition, Tate Modern, London, until 6 Sept
I love this shot! This solo exhibition of London-born artist and director of Oscar-winning 12 Years a Slave, Steve McQueen’s portfolio features 14 major works spanning his extensive career in film, photography and sculpture and is the first major UK exhibition since he received the Turner Prize in 1999. So, yeah, it’s a pretty big deal! The display will cover the last 25 years of McQueen’s career, including personal and intimate works such as his early film on a Super 8 camera and this awesome aerial depiction of the Statue of Liberty (above).
Kimono to Catwalk Exhibition, V&A Museum, London, 27 Aug
The V&A is reopening on 6 August (with free entry!), but its major exhibition will be opening towards the latter end of the month. ‘Kimono to Catwalk’ charts the journey of the traditional Japanese garment as an evolving fashion icon, from its origins in the 1660s to its modern-day iteration.
