NEW OPENING: Bowley’s Restaurant at The Plough
Fresh on the food scene, new community-funded, family-run hidden gem. With a great bar and top notch food we know you’re going to love. Bowley’s Restaurant at The Plough. Chef Alex has created a bespoke menu of high quality food and drinks using ingredients which are locally sourced.
NEW LOCATION: Papa Bianco, Faversham
Now in a brand new location, Papa Bianco is down at Standard Quay in Faversham with a beautiful waterfront setting. So sit inside their new restaurant, try their popular pizzas, have a cocktail and don’t forget about dessert! Or you can still take your order to go. Their pizzas are hand rolled and stretched by their pizzaiolo’s, so sometimes they’re round and sometimes they’re square! Their latest deal is 4 pizzas and a garlic bread for £35, perfect with friends or the family – let’s go!
COMING SOON: Domaine Evremond’s Winery & Visitor Centre, Chilham
We here at Muddy always know what’s going on! Domaine Evremond have just received planning approval to build a winery and visitor centre at their Wine Estate in Chilham, Kent. Their visitor centre (pictured above) will give the best views over the vines and wider landscape, giving visitors a full appreciated of the Kent Downs. We’re excited for this one!
NOW OPEN: Samsara Yoga, Retreat & Supper Clubs
You might have noticed that Samsara Yoga & Retreat have been busy with their Garden Yoga Classes and Virtual Classes over the past few weeks but they are now fully open for retreats, Yoga classes and guest stays! Including the return of Feel Good Fridays (a mini-retreat designed to be the perfect start to your weekend!) that include a yoga class, meditation sessions and nutrition talks.
They have an exciting summer ahead with the launch of Samsara Supper Clubs – the next one is Thurs 27 Aug (6pm – 10.30pm). A delicious monthly dinner club for Kent foodies in partnership with Bathtub gin (yes, please) with 5-course menus, designed by one of Kent’s most celebrated chefs, Scott Goss. Join the fun here.

Ready for a fresh new foodie experience? Well… Street Food Warehouse have teamed up with Dockside Outlet at Chatham Maritime to launch a brand new street food market. Now open daily, this market will host some of the South East’s best traders with a range of cuisines – so come hungry! From buttermilk fried chicken to brilliant British fish and chips, to deliciously vegan mac’n’cheese and sweet & savoury crepes. There’s enough to suit everyone. DAY TRIPS: Visit the home of Kentish Pip
Forget beer gardens, why not visit a Cider Farm this summer? Visit Woolton Farm, the home of Kentish Pip, (right next to Howletts Wild Animal Park, 5mins drive from Canterbury) a family-run fruit farm that they’ve now opened to the public! They’ll be serving the finest Kentish beers, gin, wines and ciders from their 16th century thatched barn.
