Penshurst Maize Maze, Penshurst Place, 13 July – 1 Sept

Step into the shoes of a great explorer and circumnavigate Penshurst Places’ Maize Maze! Wind your way through the hidden corners, concealed passages and collect clues from different checkpoints hidden in the maze. Once you have collected all the clues, you’ll be able to crack the puzzle and be in with the chance of winning a Penshurst Place family season ticket. The eco-friendly maze is great for children and adults. The maze is open day from 11am-6pm, last entry at 5pm.

Summer Jousting, Hever Castle, 13 – 28 July
The annual Summer Jousting Tournaments will begin at Hever castle on the 13 & 14 July and then will continue every weekend til 28 July. The Knights of Royal England will be entertaining the crowds with exhilarating displays of action, stunts, falls and fights in an authentic arena complete with a Royal Box. Join Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn and the Knights of Royal England in the procession to the Jousting arena. Battling it out in the saddle and on foot in one-to-one combat, the valiant knights will then compete for points to find this season’s ultimate champion. Junior Rowing courses, Canterbury, Mon 15 – Fri 19 July
Is this the best holiday activity for older kids / teens ever? Get them outdoors, developing their co-ordination and co-operation skills – and no doubt making some friends along the way… Following in the footsteps (or rowing strokes) of the hugely successful Oxford Junior Rowing courses, the organisers are now running the first 5 day summer course in KENT. Taking place at King’s Canterbury, the course will run from 15-19 July 2019 and is open for 11-15 year olds from novice to advanced. The Marlowe Comedy Festival, The Marlowe Theatre, Mon 15 – Sun 28 July

LoveFit Festival, St Clere Estate, Sevenoaks, Fri 19 – Sun 21 July
A 3 day adventure of fitness, well-being, and magical forest parties in the St Clere Estate in Sevenoaks. Le Tamerici Italian Supper, Macknade Fine Foods, Sat 20 July
