Penshurst Maize Maze, Penshurst Place, NOW – 1 Sept

Step into the shoes of a great explorer and circumnavigate Penshurst Places’ Maize Maze! Wind your way through the hidden corners, concealed passages and collect clues from different checkpoints hidden in the maze. Once you have collected all the clues, you’ll be able to crack the puzzle and be in with the chance of winning a Penshurst Place family season ticket. Knights & Princesses School, Hever Castle, NOW – 30 Aug
Throughout the summer holidays your little ones can experience what it was like to grow up and serve in a royal household in medieval times at Knights & Princesses School. Children can learn how to prepare and protect armour, discover the best way to arm and disarm their master before battle, find out the correct way to give a proper and perfect greeting and take part in a have a go Hobby Horse Jousting activity. New for 2019 your kids will also learn how to slay a dragon before receiving their ‘School Certificatel and being officiated as Knights, Princes and Princesses of Hever Castle. Kids Foodie Fun Day, Macknade Fine Foods, Tues 20 Aug

Our favourite Faversham food hall, Macknade is joining forces with Young Cooks for a day of FREE foodie activities for primary school children, in a bid to uncover the region’s best young kitchen talent. The activities will run between 10am – 3pm on Macknade’s outside Deck. Your kids will learn everything from healthy eating to food waste and not forgetting, pizza making, sensory storytelling, pickling and cheese tasting! Hosted by Macknade’s expert cheesemongers, greengrocers and butchers as well as local partners: Wasted Kitchen, MightyFineThings and Reading Fairy. Milk Fest, The Milk House, Sissinghurst, Fri 23 – Mon 26 Aug
Muddy loves The Milk House’s Milk Fest – and this year the annual food and music festival is celebrating its 6th year! Taking place Fri – Mon, as always over the August Bank Holiday, expect a Full Fat (snigger) family-friendly, fun-filled weekend with live music from top local talent alongside food and drink from local suppliers.
Try the Milk House’s signature cocktails, not forgetting to mention their popular Park Farm hot dogs and BBQ burgers, candy floss, face painting, silent discos, open mic night and even some circus skills. To mark the occasion, The Milk House have collaborated with Kent Brewery to bring you a 3.9% Session IPA using some of the latest English hop varieties at a cheap and beerful £3.50/pint.
