It’s no secret that online learning has grown significantly this past year! Stuck at home, in the throws of winter and zero social life? There’s only one thing for it! Let’s learn a new skill – or just have a bit of fun trying something different for half an hour. We’ve rounded up a list of fab virtual classes and supper clubs to keep you entertained – tell your bezzies and have a blast online…
Virtual Classes with The Cooking Apple
It’s time to dust down your apron and get cooking. The Cooking Apple will fill you with culinary confidence – and there’s currently virtual classes for you or your teen – so the whole family will love this! We love Pip’s classes as they’re fun and friendly – no flashy chef intimidation here! You can make mistakes, laugh and cook with others.
See Pip’s Spring 2021 classes here.
The Cooking Apple is also happy to arrange a private class (also currently via Zoom) and will tailor the difficulty and cuisine totally to your preference. It’s a great way for friends from multiple houses to spend an evening ‘together’ if they can’t have a night out around the same table or a different experience for a family celebration or bonding time.
Online Supper Clubs with Alive With Flavour
The Alive With Flavour Supper Club is a fun, relaxed and informal learning experience with like-minded folk. It’s now all virtual and on the first Wednesday of each month they share food techniques, food stories and lots of great tips.
The next one is the February Fondue! Supper Club on Wed 3 Feb, 7-8pm. Dust off your fondue set, grab a drink and join in on Zoom for fun with fellow foodies and a talk from a cheese expert from Slate Cheese in Aldeburgh, Suffolk.
Get all the ingredients delivered to your door ready for the virtual event. It’s £31 for a bespoke Fondue Box (easily enough for two people!) and this includes the Zoom session. It’s the closest thing we’ll get right now to Après Ski. Limited availability so be quick! Book now.
Wardrobe detox and style advice
Style Confidante, Becky Leeson, founder of Becky’s Wardrobe, who offers everything from Wardrobe Edits to Outfit Building sessions – has taken her expertise online.
What we love most about Becky (apart from the fact that she’s super friendly and approachable) is that she’s not a fan of fast fashion. She is on a mission to help you to positively connect with the wardrobe you already own, to reframe, rewear and reinvent.
A tidy and organised wardrobe makes for a clear head and a sense of calm. While stuck indoors, and with time on our hands, having a wardrobe sort out will be cathartic and offer a little control in these chaotic times.
You have spent time curating your wardrobe, invest in yourself by understanding it and you will reap the benefits of organising it.
You will discover pieces you had forgotten about and you will feel a sense of achievement and inner happiness, believe me it’s liberating and it will boost your self esteem.
Becky has just launched Online Mini Edits, so she can give you the confidence to connect and maximise your wardrobe in just 90 mins on Zoom – a life-changing service for £149. (Prior to that she offers a 30-minute FREE Consultation via Zoom (or the telephone) if you would like a fun and inspiring conversation before you work together.
