Hever’s Wellness Centre

Muddy went along to the opening of Hever Castle's Health & Wellbeing Centre - and not just because we heard the words 'next to the Waterside Bar' (honest).

Last week Muddy went along to the opening of Hever Castle’s Health & Wellbeing Centre – and not just because we heard the words ‘situated next door to the Waterside Bar’ (honest).

Literally just launched, Hever Castle Health & Wellbeing Centre is the newest addition to Hever Castle Golf Club. As mentioned, you’ll find it next door to the new Waterside Bar, Restaurant and Terrace (lovely large decked area) all overlooking the pond, outdoor games lawn and pétanque court (how very continental).

The Centre is not your scented candles and soft music kind of place – it’s a more practical, clinic set-up that specifically specialises in recovery from aches, pains and injuries as well as combing relaxation, stress relief and a range of exercise classes, body, beauty and there is even a nutritional therapist to help improve health through diet.

There will be five treatment rooms which will offer osteopathy, physiotherapy and massage. Class-wise the brand new studio offers Pilates, Yoga and the now very popular, Paracise, a low impact exercise class suitable for all ages and levels of fitness.

The rose planting ceremony to officially open the new Health & Wellbeing Centre

The BEST bit for comitment-phobes like me who are endlessly juggling so sometimes can’t turn up to exercise classes – the classes here are not limited to members of the golf club, and you can turn up on a pay as you go basis.

Refreshingly as well, beauty treatments are really reasonably priced – £25 for a gel manicure and £45 for an hour long full body massage – definitely not what you’d expect from such an exclusive venue.

The philosophy of Hever Castle Golf Club is to promote wellbeing, mindfulness, socialising and healthy eating – all of which can now be found under one (brand new) roof. Young or old, golfers and non golfers, there is something here for everyone.
