Wouldn’t You Though?

Nothing gets my pulse racing quicker than a firm, golden…Victoria Sponge cake. Yeah, that’s right, hit me with the white sugar and white flour combo (so naughty, so reckless). But you’ve got to move quick in my house. So much as look at a Lemon Drizzle and it’s as good as gone. Usually half inched with Houdini-style skill by a certain Mr Muddy and the mudlets.

And our household is not alone. Cake is apparently the most searched for food related word on the internet (it can’t all be me)…Which is why I couldn’t resist this hand printed plate from the Peas-In-A-Pod range all designed by local Kent-based creator, Emma Donovan. I think it would make a rather fun Valentine’s gift/reminder.

Peas-in-a-Pod is a fun collection of cheekily illustrated gifts and greetings – from picnic plates to quirky posters. Think wholesome, off-the-wall Brit humour, playful design and lashings of colour. All products are manufactured in Great Britain and produced in small runs which makes them really rather special.

From picnic plates, to tea towels, cushions and cards for all occasions…

It’s all a bit of silly fun. Although I will be taking the Yours & Mine Ceramic Treats Plate (£22) very seriously. Because, just to be clear Mr Muddy, you can have my heart, but my cake? That’s a different matter entirely.
