<p>You’ll find <a href="https://thehartspasevenoaks.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Hart Spa</a> on London Road in Sevenoaks (plenty of parking in Bligh’s Meadow Car Park). It’s the kind of beauty salon we love – boutique and brilliant at what it does. </p>



<p>A lot of people will instantly recognise this shop-front that sits prominently in the heart of Sevenoaks. But not everyone might be familiar with the extent of treatments they offer &#8211; this is far more than just a beauty salon &#8211; but a bijoux day spa too.</p>



<p>The Hart Spa offers a wide range of wonderful treatments – from the dedicated nail bars to a luxury Pamper Day downstairs – and you voted it Best Beauty Salon in Kent in the 2022 Muddy Awards. So we went to try it out for ourselves &#8211; and really put them to the test by requesting a treatment to revitalise our tired, old, winter skin. Read on for the results!</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">THE VIBE</h2>



<p>The space doesn’t look huge from the outside, but it’s far bigger than it first appears, opening up Narnia-like to a series of corridors as you go through to the back and with a more ‘spa’ feel downstairs in the calm, cosy basement.</p>

<p>All your beauty needs are expertly catered for here &#8211; with a nail bar on the ground floor (pictured above) and a corridor of rooms (pictured below) for everything from grooming to tanning.</p>

<p>If you’re after a massage or facial then you’ll be directed downstairs but not before you’ve been shown the small but perfectly formed changing room and&nbsp;lockers (pictured below). Here you&#8217;ll change into your white gown to give the pampered spa feel.</p>

<p>Having these treatments in the basement creates a sense of quiet and calm that feels a million miles from the busy high street upstairs. There’s even a luxurious Relaxation Room where you can start to unwind and will be offered fresh fruit and herbal teas.</p>

<p>I booked in for a Collagenwave Facial &#8211; I mean, what&#8217;s not to love about the sound of that? (You had me at Collagen&#8230;)</p>



<p>Oh, you want the science? Well, okay then. Radiofrequency is used to heat up deep layers of the skin and underlying tissue, which causes collagen structures in your skin to tighten immediately.</p>



<p>This improves the existing collagen and promotes new &#8216;baby&#8217; collagen production to contour and sculpt, diminish fine lines, wrinkles, and rejuvenate skin cells. This obviously results in healthier, smoother skin and a more youthful appearance. Yes. Please.</p>



<p>The general rule of thumb is two treatments needed for every decade of your life. So as someone in my late 40s I should in theory have 10 treatments in total.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">THE LOWDOWN</h2>



<p>This results-driven, non-invasive treatment has been featured on Channel 4’s <em>Ten Years Younger</em>, in British <em>Vogue</em> and has a long list of A-List converts, including Eva Longoria, Amanda Holden, Mel B, David and Victoria Beckham, Pink, Nicole Scherzinger to name but a few.</p>



<p>I found myself in the expert hands of Victoria one of the Senior Therapists, who was really knowledgeable and answered my (many) questions. She talked me through the whole process and what to expect. The treatment is painless, non-intrusive and the results should be immediate.</p>



<p>The Collagenwave Facial lasts around 75 mins and costs £166 or you can combine it with C.A.C.I and Dermalux light therapy which will take a full 2 hours and cost £225. </p>

<p>The spa uses the very best in beauty brands such as Morpheus8, Collagenwave, Environ Hydrafacial and Advanced Nutrition Programme skin supplements.&nbsp;A quick glance at the &#8216;About Us&#8217; section of the website demonstrates the level to which all team members are trained to the highest professional standards within the beauty industry.</p>



<p>Once you&#8217;ve had your treatment you can retire to the Relaxation Room (pictured below) for a herbal tea and moment of inner calm.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">THE MUDDY VERDICT</h2>



<p>Although the wand that rolls over your skin really heats up the sensation was very relaxing and there was no discomfort at all. There is no healing time required for the skin and &#8211; as promised &#8211; the glow was immediate. I&#8217;d say I looked perkier for around one week &#8211; this is after just one treatment, the effects are obviously longer-lasting if done regularly. Well, here, see for yourself.</p>

<p>All facials are an absolute treat, but it&#8217;s rare that I immediately book straight in for another. So it&#8217;s testament to this treatment that I&#8217;ve already committed to booking further Collagenwave Facials. Not sure if I will complete the whole course of 10 recommended for my age &#8211; but I&#8217;ll keep going when I can. </p>



<p>And general thoughts on The Hart Spa? This is a brilliant, bijoux beauty salon offering spa treatments performed by knowledgeable therapists. If you&#8217;re after the extras of a day spa with pool, sauna or dining area then this won&#8217;t be for you. But perfect if you&#8217;re looking for somewhere convenient in town where you can take time to pause, unwind and put yourself first for once.</p>
