Sitting pretty near Staplehurst, which itself sits – rather conveniently – on the trainline that connects the Kent coastline with London (it’s only 50 mins from London Bridge).

So whether you’re visiting from the Big Smoke or from anywhere near Marden, Paddock Wood, Tonbridge and Sevenoaks (to the north) or Headcorn, Ashford, Folkestone, Deal and Ramsgate (to the south) – transport will be easy-peasy (and you can enjoy a glass or two).

Guests can enjoy a self-guided stroll through beautiful vineyards, apple orchards and ancient oak woodlands, or join an expert-led tour and tasting experience in their winery.

EAT

With its own stylish dining space, The View, Balfour Winery is a place to enjoy great food whilst relaxing in the breathtaking countryside. Set within the vineyard of the Hush Heath Estate, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the vines and ancient oak woodlands combined with a fresh, local seasonal menu.

We recommend one of their seasonal sharing platters – with Kentish meat, cheese or vegetarian options – made with seasonal produce, sourced from the best local producers (like Curd & Cure, Moons Green Charcuterie and fruit and veg from David Catt & Sons – to name but a few).

With regular special dining experiences to book – like an Afternoon Tea for Two on Mother’s Day which includes beautifully presented and tasty bites all washed down with Balfour Brut Rosé. Salivating, much?

EVENTS

Hospitality and generosity are at the very heart of what they are all about at Balfour Winery. As a way of extending their hospitality, the team has introduced the Balfour Dining Club – a series of exclusive four-course dinners created by talented Head Chef, Dan Austin. Each course is paired with Balfour Wines as selected by Head Winemaker, Fergus Elias.
