THE LOCATION
This combined art gallery, project space for hire, café and local makers’ shop is situated at the top of Faversham’s historic Abbey Street. The food is served within an art exhibition setting and is home to almost 50 artists, designers and makers in a variety of studios and co-working zones.
THE LOWDOWN
Creek Creative founding directors Anne MacLaren and Simon Giles opened the doors to the not-for-profit art studio complex in 2009 and since then it’s become one of Kent’s prime locations for local artists and artisan makers to create and display their work. Plus there’s the award-winning Gallery Kitchen Café serving light lunches, cakes, tea and coffee and the charmingly quirky Artisan Shop which has helped it become a fascinating destination, creative work evironment, meeting place, event venue and popular asset of the town.

Plus there’s 32 rented studios and 7 desk places shared by 45 local creative practitioners and artists covering a wide range of professions from silversmiths, designers, makers, writers, filmmakers, web designers, illustrators, musicians, performers and some who simply want an exciting place to work in this vibrant studio environment. Not to mention the hireable project spaces, event facilities, training workshop days and part-time courses!
