Curious Brewery Taproom & Restaurant, Ashford
Sip award-winning beers straight from the tank and enjoy seasonal, locally inspired dishes at The Curious Taproom & Restaurant in Ashford – perfect for casual dining, group bookings, or events just minutes from the station.

THE LOWDOWN
Tucked into the heart of Ashford, The Curious Taproom & Restaurant manages to feel both lively and laid-back. It’s a brewery you can actually relax in, with a first-floor restaurant overlooking the tanks where the magic happens. Seating up to 120, the space suits everything from casual lunches to larger group bookings, while the Taproom & Shop offers a more informal option for quick bites or drinks.
THE LOCATION
Its location is a clear win for accessibility, just a two-minute walk from Ashford International and under 40 minutes from London. Making it a convenient stop for locals and visitors alike. Curious strikes a balance between a modern brewery experience and a straightforward, no-nonsense dining destination.
FOOD & DRINK
Curious Brewery is serious about its beers – and it shows. Fresh tank beer straight from the brewery is the headline act, but it’s paired with a menu that’s rooted in local, seasonal ingredients. Lunch is served Tuesday to Saturday in the Taproom & Shop, and Friday to Saturday in the restaurant, providing options for both quick visits and more relaxed dining. The food isn’t flashy, but it’s thoughtful and satisfying, complementing the beers rather than trying to overshadow them.
All of Curious’s award-winning beers and ciders are available to take away, and tasting them fresh from the tank is a reminder of why this brewery earned UK Brewer of the Year in 2019.
EVENTS
Curious isn’t just a place to eat and drink – it’s a versatile events space with genuine character. The mezzanine works for small team meetings or networking groups, while the full venue can host company parties, product launches, or even festive celebrations. Brewery tours are available and include a guided tasting of their beers and ciders, adding a social edge to any meeting. With the new Hampton by Hilton directly opposite, multi-day corporate bookings or overnight guests are easily accommodated. It’s a venue that manages to feel both professional and approachable – a rare combination in brewery-based event spaces.
