THE STORY

After a major renovation, this stunning Grade II listed building has reopened its doors – and of course Muddy wanted to be first in line to tell you more about this cool new venue. At Dorothy and Marshall they believe that eating and drinking in good company is one of life’s greatest pleasures – and we couldn’t agree more.

This focus on the importance of community is demonstrated in every aspect of the restaurant – a much-loved local landmark – which is named after the beloved children of Thomas Dewey, the Charter Mayor of Bromley who laid the Old Town Hall’s foundation stone in 1906.

THE LOWDOWN

Soaring ceilings and wood-panelled walls set the scene for special occasions, while the ambience is relaxed enough for every day. Drop in for breakfast, settle in for a lazy lunch, or end the evening with dinner and a nightcap. The team here will look after you without fuss and go out of their way to provide exceptional service, every time.

FOOD & DRINK

Ralph Jones, Dorothy and Marshall’s Head Chef has worked with some of the world’s most renowned chefs, including Garry Hollihead, Eric Chavot, Chris Galvin and Marco Pierre White. Passionate about British food, Ralph is focused on big, bold, layered flavours – creating plates that are innovative twists on the classics we all love.

Visit for Brunch, Lunch, Dinner or Drinks. Plus there’s an extensive Sunday roast Menu and a brilliant, straight-forwards Kids Menu (Dingley Dell bangers or veggie sausages, Battered Cod or Homemade Burger – followed by Homemade cookie and ice cream). All of which allows you to feed the younger members of the family for around £10. What’s not to love?

The building is also home to Brama, a boutique hotel opening in 2023, and Clockwise a beautifully designed flexible workspace. Quite frankly, there’s no need to ever leave.
