THE LOWDOWN

What started back in 2013 as Danielle baking in her own kitchen has blossomed into one of Kent’s best-loved gluten-free success stories. Alongside her partner Matt, Eat ‘n’ Mess has grown from market stalls at Greenwich and Broadway Market to a unique countryside setting in Sevenoaks. Renowned for their fully gluten-free kitchen (with zero cross-contamination), they’ve built a loyal following for doing things properly. Flavour-first baking that just happens to be gluten free.

THE CAKES

Their sweet treats are what first put them on the map, think indulgent brownies, cupcakes and beautifully crafted wedding and celebration cakes, all available to order online and delivered straight to your door.

THE POD

Their outdoor café space in the countryside is a real hidden gem. With covered seating (come rain or shine), free parking, high chairs for little ones and a warm welcome for dogs, it’s designed to be easy, relaxed and welcoming for everyone. Sustainability is high on the agenda too! They don’t use single-use takeaway cups and instead offer a low-cost keep cup system (just ask the team for details).

But it doesn’t stop at bakes. Eat ‘n’ Mess also serves up an incredible range of hot food dishes, all of which can be made gluten free on request, alongside a selection of dairy-free options too so no one has to miss out.
