Gulbenkian is Canterbury’s Art Centre, with a theatre, cinema and concert hall offering a diverse arts programme, from big name comedians to family shows and avant-garde theatre. With reasonable ticket prices, friendly service and year-round events – it can’t be missed!







Gulbenkian houses a 340 seat theatre showing drama, comedy, music, dance and kids’ shows including a 300 seat cinema with mainstream and Live screenings.
All day cafe/bar/restaurant with lunch and evening menus – even daily specials! The cafe incorporates an informal cabaret-style space for live music, comedy and slam poetry. What’s not to love?

The empowerment of children and young people are always at the core of what they do, the Gulbenkian Youth Theatre have over 100 members aged 5-18 years and every August they organise Kent’s International Family Festival ‘bOing!’.
