Deeply rooted in its surroundings, the pub celebrates Whitstable’s rich food culture, with menus shaped by locally caught seafood, seasonal produce and Kent’s excellent brewing heritage.

Inside, the vibe is relaxed yet lively, with a downstairs bar and snug area that welcomes dogs and casual drop-ins, alongside a 40-seat upstairs restaurant offering a more intimate dining experience complete with sea views. Their live music nights are incredibly popular and keep the pub buzzing throughout the week.

Chefs work closely with local fishermen and farmers to create dishes that feel both comforting and considered, blending rustic pub favourites with refined coastal dining.

Expect fresh seafood, vibrant seasonal vegetables and hearty classics executed with care. Weekly specials add extra excitement, including ever-popular Steak Nights, globally inspired Curry Nights, traditional Pie Nights, and Friday’s essential seaside staple: fish and chips.

Behind the bar, the drinks offering holds equal importance. Real ales – often sourced from local breweries – sit alongside craft beers, carefully chosen old and new world wines and an impressively creative cocktail list mixing timeless classics with house signatures.

EVENTS

Live music forms the backbone of the weekly calendar, with performances every Friday night, Saturday afternoon and evening, plus relaxed Sunday sessions perfect for rounding off the weekend. A live DJ takes over on the last Friday of each month, while the popular Blues Jam Night brings musicians together on the final Tuesday.

Regular themed evenings keep things fresh, from open mic nights (complete with perks for performers) to food-led weekly specials that give you the perfect excuse to return again and again.
