THE LOWDOWN

Tucked away in the rolling Kent countryside behind the seaside town of Deal, you will find Ripple Court. Owned by husband-and-wife team, Francesca Reed and Peter Robertson, who have transformed this spectacular Sir John Soane Manor House into an iconic wedding venue. Ripple Court Estate is an advocate for equality and inclusivity and welcomes all faiths, humanist ceremonies and LGBTQIA partners.

YOUR BIG DAY

The jaw-droppingly stunning house is the ultimate backdrop for photos, linger in their Georgian walled gardens with a cocktail in hand as the candy-striped day beds beckon and there’s no culling of the guest list here, Ripple Court can look after 120 of your nearest and dearest.

The day truly kicks off in style in the bridal salon and studio complete with a room designed just for putting on the dress (cue a very big mirror) as well as three styling stations for the essential pre-wedding beauty prep.

You have the choice of two beautiful locations for your wedding ceremony including the Georgian Rose Garden or Ball Room so there won’t be any rain on your parade here. Then head into the secret walled gardens, with Victorian glasshouses providing useful shelter and seats, for the drinks’ reception.

The Wedding Pavilion is the next destination for the wedding breakfast with seating available for 120 people. The point of difference is that they have positioned the bar in the heart of the marquee with a VIP balcony above – a perfect spot for the photographer to capture the best shots plus the bride and groom can soak up the atmosphere from above.

You have the use of their three-bedroom 17th century cottage, complete with hot tub, as well as the Wedding suite. There is a strict end point of 23.30 but with that roll top bath waiting for you back at the Wedding Suite, we would be urging our guests to jog on.

Another reason to love Ripple Court Estate is that they do not do ‘back-to-back’ weddings so you can really make the wedding last over a weekend, there’s no rushing here.

FOOD & DRINK

It should come as no surprise that the food is of a very high calibre too as Tim Wilson is in charge who was formerly the head chef at Annabel’s and The Ivy, and he will discuss the foodie options with you over a tasting beforehand.

You can also choose from bespoke cocktails created in collaboration with Ripple Court’s mixologist partnerships and they also partnered with Chapel Down should you fancy award-winning English fizz at your wedding – in fact the wedding package also includes a complimentary Vineyard tour and wine tasting at Chapel Down.

Go on, arrange a viewing now and see how Ripple Court Estate can turn your wedding into an unforgettable event.
