We love this 70’s inspired River House. Set just a few minutes from the heart of Rye, it is the perfect spot for a mini-break with family or friends.

THE LOWDOWN

Fancy exploring the historic town of Rye with its cobbled streets, fantastic restaurants and shops? We have discovered this uber cool, 70’s inspired home that could be your very own mini-break retreat.

River House has funky interiors and fabulous river views and, if that’s not enough, it is perfectly positioned, just 800 yards from the town centre. The best way to discover Rye is by foot. It is narrow and tricky to park in a car (don’t ask!). The added bonus of…River House is that it has parking for four cars, so arrive, unpack and kick back!

THE SPACE

Where do we start! Interior design fans will love the 70’s inspired… Art deco colours, wallpapers, accessories and furniture. We love the electric disco balls, tropical walls and comfy leather sofa. The River House sleeps six so is perfect for a group of friends or a family getaway.

The kitchen is very well appointed with a Neff oven and hob, and just about everything you need for a cosy meal in, or even fish and chips and a bottle of wine (you are on your holiday after all!). There is a well designed dining and lounge area with a smart TV and comfortable seating.

Step through the patio doors to the garden and discover the outdoor seating and dining area (word has it this is a great sun trap!). The garden is a lovely size and has direct access to the river Rother tow-path and a short walk along the river into Rye centre.

THE ROOMS

Upstairs there are three bedrooms (two doubles and one king size). All boast fabulous interiors, have plenty of storage, hairdryers and smart TVs. There is a large double power-shower with his and hers vanity sink units.

From £113 a night, River House is a great spot for exploring Rye and the surrounding area. Visit the renowned local pub, stroll into town for brunch, lunch or dinner in one of the fabulous restaurants or visit the endless beach at Camber Sands, just a short drive away. Easily accessible by car or train, we suggest you get planning your next getaway.
