We love this truly independent, award winning bookshop in Sevenoaks. Set conveniently at the end of the high street, Sevenoaks Bookshop has been selling books since 1948 and has the added draw of a lovely coffee area (did we mention cakes too?) for a quiet cuppa and a read.

This is the perfect spot to find an interesting new read or thoughtful gift (even the windows of the bookshop are beautifully themed to draw you in). The team are always on hand to offer advice and recommendations and they are really knowledgeable. With dedicated areas for adults and children there are helpful reviews dotted around to help you choose that special read – whether you are looking for the latest novel, finest classic or to kick start a new hobby.

FAMILY FUN

The children’s area is especially good. With age appropriate sections and recommendations from young readers, even the most reluctant bookworms will be tempted. The Bookshop has a young readers’ scheme where children (from aged 5) can review new releases.

SUBSCRIPTION & GIFTING

There is plenty of inspiration for an exciting gift here and a great selection of greeting cards, notelets and gift wrap. We love the idea of a curated reading subscription. Choose your genre and Sevenoaks Bookshop will post you out a beautifully wrapped book each month. Gift vouchers can also be purchased and national book tokens are accepted.

AUTHORS & EVENTS

As an independent book store, Sevenoaks Bookshop offers an exciting calendar of book signing events, signed editions and even an online bookclub. There is also a brilliant online shop if you’d rather shop from the comfort of your own home. The Bookshop can order any in-print book, take orders by phone or email and post books to you.
