THE LOCATION

We are delighted to have a new independently owned small animal veterinary practice in our midst as our pets are part of the family so it’s always good to know who the experts are in your local area to help you look after them. So it’s a big hello to Swale Barn Vets who have recently opened in Macknade Village, Faversham.

THE LOWDOWN

With beautifully designed facilities, unlimited parking, and a team of professionals who care for every animal as if it were their own, we think you’ll love what they do. At Swale Barn Vets, there is no such thing as ‘one size fits all’ as they recognize that every animal is special and realize that the right care requires a realistic, inclusive and integrative understanding of the unique background of each pet and their owner.

CARE & TREATMENTS

Swale Barn Vets has the expertise and state-of-the-art clinical facilities to provide your pets with the care they deserve. They benefit from having laparoscopic (key hole) surgery facilities meaning they can perform operations that are more gentle on your pets body and quicker for them to recover from plus a CT scanner is en route so they will be one of a few veterinary practices in Kent to have these advanced facilitates.

The CT scanner means that they can produce 3D x-rays on-site which will enhance their diagnostic capability when required as CT images provide a greater level of detail and accuracy, so they can can get to the root of the problem even faster!

This independent practice is headed up by Radu Neagu, who hails from Romania and after graduating and completing his Masters and a PhD in Canine reproduction, he relocated to the UK in 2011 where he has been practising as a small animal vet ever since. He has been based across the UK but Kent has been his home 2016 as like us, he would not rather be anywhere else!

We love them even more for the fact that they are happy to do home-visits as they understand that some pets find travel and the vet practice environment very stressful, or sometimes circumstances mean that it is not possible for you to physically get your pet to the practice.

Plus, they offer all our registered clients a free health check with a vet for their new puppy or kitten to help set your mind at ease in the early months. They’ll also weigh your little one as you need it to ensure that they’re receiving the correct dose of wormer, required frequently whilst they’re growing, as well as tracking their growth and general development.

And as an additional bonus, you get to pick up some delicious foodie goodies from Macknade on the way home.
