THE LOWDOWN

Tucked away down Tea Garden Lane by the edge of the woods in Tunbridge Wells, The Beacon is a naturally abundant and delicious home for caring, sharing and giving. Set within 17 acres of woodland with three lakes, The Beacon grows many of its own vegetables, herbs and fruit and sources everything else as locally as possible.

A truly picturesque setting, overlooking Happy Valley, the restaurant and bar has crackling fires in the winter, swathes of bluebells and foxgloves in the Spring, a pretty terrace for summer cocktails and breath-taking views all year round.

Whether you’re dining as a family or out for date-night – and from special ocassions to a dog walking pitstop – guests will enjoy inviting, seasonal dishes, local wines and a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

A beautifully refurbished country house with stunning views and endless gardens, it’s the perfect space for private parties – and particularly popular for weddings.

To complement the design of the house The Beacon have created two different dining experiences: The relaxed Garden Bar and the elegant Dining Room.

THE BEACON RESTAURANT

If you’re looking for a special meal, then look no further than The Beacon Restaurant. A very carefully created experience by Executive Chef Scott Goss, using only the finest ingredients. If you’re celebrating something special, or want to treat yourself, then you’ll want a seat in the restaurant. It’s surrounded by the rich history of The Beacon to make it a unique setting to dine with loved ones like no other.

What’s new is they’ve just added 7 rooms to the venue for guests to stay encompassing 6 uniquely styled bedrooms and a summer house cabin. This countryside retreat has created a unique destination for food enthusiasts and those seeking the perfect escape.

Open everyday for lunch and dinner Weds – Sat, and for roasts on a Sunday.

THE GARDEN BAR

With expansive sweeping views, and the sun pouring through the windows, you’ll be forgiven for thinking you’re on holiday. This is still England, but if the weather allows, you can dine out on the terrace and take in those rays in the fresh air. This is the perfect spot for a coffee, breakfast, light lunch, dinner, drinks, almost anything really. Just grab your friends and come for an overdue catch-up in one of the most picturesque places you’ll find.

Open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week, and dinner & drinks Thursday – Saturday.

WEDDINGS

A picture postcard of whimsical, rustic romance, The Beacon us full of character and charm. A little bit like home, with cosy corners, snugs, and stylish interiors. It is the ultimate party house, wonderful for an exclusive-use wedding of feasting, celebrations, and fun. 

Say ‘I do’ in the beautiful surroundings of the gardens or dining room and party till the small hours with your loved ones. With all the hidden nooks in the gardens and house, there is no shortage of stunning backdrops for your photos.
