This award winning facility provides state-of-the-art exhibition galleries, excellent educational facilities and a varied programme of events for all ages. An absolute gem for family fun throughout the seasons – from an exhibition made entirely of Lego – including a life-size Father Christmas – to Peter Rabbit Storytime Trail at Easter.

Visitors can take advantage of a range of free kids activities, from dressing up to the interactive Explorer Points. The creative family activities are also available to purchase, designed as a part of their award-winning Learning Programme.

FOR HISTORY LOVERS

The museum is a cultural hub, housing an internationally significant collection that retells Canterbury’s rich heritage through the ages. The collection is made up of intriguing objects spanning across a range of subjects such as Ancient Egypt, Anglo-Saxons, Sculpture, Fine and Decorative Art.

The museum has two dedicated temporary exhibition spaces to house innovative displays that reflect contemporary issues relevant to both local visitors and tourists.
