Good health is quite frankly a privilege and if you’re fortunate enough to experience that you certainly will want to keep things that way. Which is where this special clinic, The McIndoe Centre, East Grinstead comes in. They’re a charity who fall under the Horder Healthcare umbrella with an incredible reputation for patient safety and the right results.

While the clinic offers a variety of health and wellbeing related services from aesthetics to reconstructive surgery a firm focus of theirs is women’s health. Hence why Muddy was all ears when we heard about them.

The centre has recently launched a specialist Women’s Health Check service – an intricate health assessment that offers a thorough overview of your physical, mental, and emotional health. The premise is about preventative medicine but also will recommend what you can do to improve your health, or ensure you’ve continued good health.

The service is open to women of all ages but the health assessment will cover a range of things including blood pressure, BMI, cholesterol, diabetes, and cardiovascular risk as well as urine analysis, bowel cancer screening. This is an in-depth look into your overall health and well being so the medical experts will also address any risk of Type 2 diabetes, anaemia, thyroid function and cholesterol as well as checking in on how your liver and kidneys are functioning.

So then, what do you need to do? You’ll have to fill out a questionnaire before your first appointment then head to the centre for your tests and assessments before you sit down to a 20-minute consultation with a women’s health specialist GP. Two weeks later you’ll have a follow-up call before receiving a detailed health report to share with your GP to see what treatment may be necessary.
