With uninterrupted views stretching across the vines towards the Kent coast, Woodchurch Wine Estate feels like a little slice of the Med, but thankfully without the airport queues.

Set across 12 acres of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Meunier and Bacchus vines, this family-run estate produces some seriously impressive English still and sparkling wines, all surrounded by the kind of scenery that makes you want to linger a little longer.

Founded in 2009, the vineyard has recently entered an exciting new chapter with four friends – Kelly, John, Donna and Darren – taking the reins and bringing fresh energy while continuing the estate’s passion for quality, sustainability and brilliant English wine.

Pop by for a relaxed afternoon of wine tasting, book onto a guided vineyard tour to discover how their award-winning bottles are made, or simply grab a glass and soak up those dreamy countryside views from the terrace or balcony.

And it’s not just about the wine. Their restaurant serves up seasonal small plates, sharing boards and wood-fired pizzas, basically everything you need for a very civilised day out in the Kent countryside.

THE WINE

Woodchurch’s wines are a true celebration of Kent’s wine-growing credentials, with every bottle made from grapes grown right here on the estate. Their award-winning still and sparkling wines are created using a minimal intervention approach, with a huge focus on craftsmanship, sustainability and looking after the land.
