5 hottest interiors trends for 2022
January means spending a lot of time hunkering down at home and with all that hunkering comes some hankering – and this month, we're after a little interiors update. Here's what's hot for 2022.
Curve appeal

Curves have been trending on the style sidelines for a while now, but this year they’re taking centre stage in both interiors and architecture as we’re turning to shapes that are soft and comforting (you can thank over two years in an out of lockdowns for that). Pinterest searches for ‘curved interior walls’ have quadrupled, whilst searches for ‘curved kitchen island’ and ‘curved sofa’ have tripled in the past year.

Wanderlust

Travel corridors, cancelled holidays and red-lists have us all seeking a little escapism which is translating to travel-inspired interiors coming in as one of the top trends for 2022 – think vibrant wallpapers, rich textiles and bold patterns.

Next-gen outdoor furniture

Our gardens and patios have become a true extension of our homes – and the decor should be no exception. Elevate your outdoor furniture game with design-led pieces to create chic, elegant spaces for entertaining come spring (or invest in a fire pit and enjoy now!).

Very Peri

Pantone, the ultimate authority on colour has spoken and the colour of the year is ‘Very Peri’ – a blue-toned purple. If you don’t fancy splashing the bold shade across your living room walls (same here), inject the colour into your home with homewares and accessories instead.

50 shades of brown

It’s official, grey is dead! Cooler tones are out and interiors are warming up again for 2022 with earthy camel tones as well as caramel and chocolate brown in the hot-seat. Include natural woods and leathers to add texture to your space.
